South Shores Animal Hospital

We are new to the area. Our one senior dog we thought had a UTI and they we able to see him right away on a Saturday. We were very impressed by everyone at the office. From the young ladies up front that checked us in to the Dr that was very kind and explained everything to me that she was concerned may be going on with our fur baby. Then again, the young ladies that checked us out. So glad we chose this veterinarian office to take care of our 2 fur babies.

We can not say enough about the staff at South Shores. We have been going to them for years, for our older dogs. But recently, our youngest dog, Bentley had serious medical issues that meant we spent a lot of time with this team and the people there. Our dogs love the vet. And Bentley loved them most of all. And I think they loved him just as much. We probably saw every single doctor and vet tech there and we were given the best care, honesty, compassion..all steps were taken to save our boy. The front desk staff are the best people who love our dogs, especially our Bentley and dealing with them during our hardest times and lowest points in our lives. They were accommodating, caring and a lot of fun on top of that. When we had to make the difficult decision to put Bentley to sleep, they were so incredible. They were kind and compassionate from the phone call to the end. I saw the tears in their eyes, too and being with them while we said goodbye to our boy made a horrible process easier. Our boy was a favorite so they even gave him a delicious special donut to send him on his next journey. They made us feel comfortable and loved during a very dark time. We will be forever grateful for this team and they will always be our vet! Thank you to everyone there for loving our boy so much and for loving our other dogs. The feeling is very mutual.

Just moved here and was looking for a new vet for my bengal/savannah cats. I read the reviews and decided to come here. Dr. Suzuki was wonderful and my cat was comfortable with her right away. This is the least stressed my cat has ever been in a vets office. All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The office is nice, clean, and comfortable. Their prices are way better than my last vet and they run specials. I’m glad I found a great place to take my cats that they actually enjoy going to. Definitely recommend.

Treated my large dog like a number. He tore his CCL (ACL for a human equivalent) and Dr. Suzuki completely wrote him off, saying we had no options but this highly expensive and highly invasive surgery. She also has little bedside manners every time we've been in there (we've been going a few years prior to my dog getting hurt). We got a second opinion at another practice, and they laid out all the options for him and explained that some Vets recommend the invasive surgery due to a payout they get. I immediately switched my dog to see another vet. 1 star for the doctor but I gave 3 overall because the techs are all amazing sweet girls and deserve recognition!

SSAH is the best vet experience I have ever had with my 10 yo dog. We went through quite a few medical issues over the last 4 years and the help and service we received is unmatched. I tried a few different veterinary clinics that were closer to where I lived but they were not as efficient, had really long wait times (even with a scheduled appointment), or were not as thorough at answering my questions. I make a 20-minute drive just to go to SSAH because they are totally worth it and we love the veterinarians and staff. :)

Been taking both of my dogs here for routine and emergency medical needs for a number of years now and have used their boarding services, and haven't had a bad experience yet. The whole staff is so caring and professional. I believe I've seen every vet practicing at the clinic at least once throughout the years, and I would trust each and every one with my dogs' care. Thank you, South Shores! We love you! And special shout to Stephanie. She remembers my Opie and loves on him every time we're there ❤️
